Friday and Saturday
Friday:

10:00 Am. Drawing class ------- Drawing a Drum.
Young little people drawing class, 7 years old and younger. Parents to children under 7 years old need to stay with their child during the class.
Learn basic techniques of drawing. All supplies will be furnished.
No Fee Age 7 and younger, need parent to stay with them.

1:00 Pm. Youth Drumming
I’ll be teaching the youth of the kingdom 3 beginner rhythms and how to read basic hand drum annotations. Students will need to bring their own instruments and a chair. All other materials will be provided.
No cost. Age 7 and up.

2:00pm. Youth Intro to Tribal Belly Dance
We will cover a few basic introduction belly dance moves and a few basic tribal moves while teaching the kids how to work as a group while doing improvised tribal dance. No prior experience necessary. Students are welcome to bring coin scarves or belts if they have them.
No cost. Age 7 and up,
Teacher: Slaine inghean Sheain (Sabra)) will be doing the dancing portion & Don Carlos will provide drum accompaniment.
3:00pm. Intro to Chainmaille
Many of us do not have the time or the patience to smelt and draw our own wire.
In this class you will learn how to wrap, cut and weave your own rings, simply and cheaply.
You will be introduced to many weaves as well as be able to weave a simple design by the end of the class. A warning for those SCA purists out there, we will not be making chainmaille the old fashioned way (ie we will be using modern tools.) Taught By Jared Nishimoto
Cost: $7 (all materials will be provided)

10:30am. Horse Barding for Kids
This class will take a field trip to the Equestrian Arena to see real horses wearing Barding, that's clothes the horses wear while at the games. Parents must be in attendance for permission to pet the horses. After we see the real thing and talk to the riders we will head back to Children’s Corner to dress a horse figure in barding that you get to take home. There is a Tournament starting at 10am at the Equestrian Arena, if you wish to watch the whole thing you may meet us at the Arena for the class after the Tournament about 11am
Saturday: Meet at Children’s Corner at 10:30am
Class Fee - $2 for the craft portion of the class

2:00 PM. Kumihimo
Kumihimo is a traditional braiding from Japan from about 550 A.D.
This cord can be used for almost anything. You can use Kumihimo to lace garments, to decorate clothing and lace armor together. Come and learn an art being taught by someone your own age.
No cost
